Community Committee

Within the organization of Global Goddess there are members whose hearts are dedicated to "growing" Global Goddess, to taking an active leadership role in service to the mission of Global Goddess, "Goddess Women serving women worldwide."

The women on the Community Committee share diverse reponsibilities, including greeting all new women who join the Global Goddess chat list, making them feel welcome. They also actively encourage women to post and share of themselves on the list so that women feel appreciated for their contributions. Planned topics for discussion on the chat list originate here.

Greeters of the Community Committee focus on welcoming women to Global Goddess. They rotate, taking turns, with the primary responsibility of saying hello to each new woman who joins. Once a woman has been welcomed, all other members of the committee also join in with words of welcoming. We truly wish new women to feel embraced, and so active participation is critical. Once we do the official welcoming, we will all see other women join us in making our new Sister feel at home.

Members of this committee also hostess an official "Meet and Greet" chat at least monthly for women to gather and visit in a live chat room with each other.

The women on this committee also take on the responsibility of offering online rituals to the women of Global Goddess. These rituals, for now, are seasonal, following the Seasons of the Sun.

There may be other rituals offered depending on need and circumstances in the world. They may be for healing, spiritual issues, and for the well-being of our members.
